O Christmas Tree How Lovely Are Your Branches

Today, we attempted to make these ornaments but substituted fabric for ribbons:

So, ribbon is stiffer than fabric but ours didn't turn out too bad.  This picture doesn't really do them justice.  I still need to glue some twine on the top so we can hang them on the tree but I call them a success.
Samuel wasn't near as grumpy as this picture but it was too cute not to share.  He loved picking out his fabric.

Besides making Christmas tree ornaments today, I had a great evening with my CSF family.  We had a group of 15+ make dinner and serve at the Springfield Overflow Shelter tonight.  During finals week even!  They also made 50 treat bags of winter essentials and snacks to had out after dinner.  I love watching them learn more about God's heart as they step outside of themselves to serve.

6"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?Is it not to share your food with the hungry    and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn,    and your healing will quickly appear;then your righteousness will go before you,    and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Isaiah 58: 6-8

Don't worry Faith was also much happier than this photo shows :)
